I earned her medical degree at the Sapienza University of Rome, where I also completed five year residency in Urology at Policlinico Umberto I, one of the largest teaching hospitals in Europe. During my residency I developed a strong interest in pediatric urology, and I spent elective rotations as an observer first at Boston Children’s Hospital and after at Miami Children’s Hospital. After completing my urology residency in Italy, I moved to the United States and completed a three-year fellowship in Pediatric Urology at Nicklaus Children`s Hospital and Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami.
I have been involved in clinical research. I published articles in peer-reviewed journals, and I presented in several national and international meetings. I have been actively involved in volunteer activities and has joined a surgical mission trip in Dominican Republic for several years.
I have a special interest in penile reconstructive surgery and the treatment of neurological and non-neurological bladder disorders. I have been the founder and medical director of the Department of Urodynamics and Voiding Improvement Program at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital in Miami. After practicing for four years as a pediatric urologist in a large private practice in South Florida and being voluntary faculty at the University of Miami, I joined the University of South Alabama as Assistant Professor of Pediatric Urology and only full-time pediatric urologist. I am very dedicated to teaching medical students and residents and interested in their well-being. In 2022, I graduated from the University of South Alabama College of Medicine Academic Medicine Coaching Program, to provide coaching to the medical students at her institution.
I currently practice at Children`s and Women Hospital in Mobile and at the USA Health Mapp Campus in Fairhope, AL.
Outside the hospital, I enjoy spending time with her husband and child.
I like running, swimming and practicing yoga. I love to travel and explore new places, as cooking for family and friends.
